DJ Khaled was trending, but Twitter got worried it was his health or his nudes leak, thankful and relieved on both fronts, finding out he was dragged into the Lizzo weight debate, as people go in on Boyce Watkins for fat shaming her and not the men

Despite finally releasing Father of Asahd, DJ Khaled has actually had a quiet year. His annual summer run came, and was a tremendous success. The singles, “Just Us,” and “Wish Wish,” featuring Cardi B and 21 Savage, both made a huge impact.

DJ Khaled is a huge personality, but he’s seen his popularity dwindle, since his 2016 peak. Currently, Lizzo is the figure dominating the game, bringing new energy into R&B. However, she’s faced backlash, being accused of being more pop than R&B/soul.

A few days ago, Dr. Boyce Watkins tweeted about Lizzo’s supporters who are championing her weight. He said America has an obesity problem and, instead of actually helping her, they are encouraging an unhealthy lifestyle, which leads to people dying of diabetes and heart disease. Black women on Twitter took offense and pointed out how DJ Khaled and Rick Ross are overweight, but never receive this kind of backlash.
