DJ Khaled talks Possibly working with RZA and Run-DMC in HipHopDX.com interview

With each album, DJ Khaled improves. As a DJ, Khaled does not pick up with mic, with the exception of his 2010 single, “All I Do is Win.” However, the collaborations are with more-prominent rappers on each album. Every summer, fans have been able to count on a new album from DJ Khaled as they can count on taking trips to the beach. Last year, DJ Khaled impressed many with his bevvy of hits, adding Drake to his long list of collaborators.

Since 2009, DJ Khaled has been trying to land Eminem for a spot on one of his albums. While he has yet to team up with Marshall, DJ Khaled and Rick Ross have held meetings with Dr. Dre. Usually very elusive, the famed producer flew to Miami, partying with Ross, and then hitting the studio. Now, DJ Khaled has bigger plans for his Kiss The Ring album. DJ Khaled discussed his new album, future collaborations, and his influence during yesterday’s interview with HipHopDX.com.

DJ Khaled was fresh off a discussion with Rev Run, of Run-DMC, only minutes before his interview. He would be asked about this and DJ Khaled said his love for Run-DMC was one reason he decided to become a part of the hip hop movement. Another major influence for DJ Khaled was Wu-Tang rapper, RZA. Ironically, one of the other legends DJ Khaled is discussing working with is RZA.
