Six years have gone by fast, as Ace Hood made himself one of hip hop’s biggest names in that time period. By 2008, there was no question that DJ Khaled could make hit records. However, he was unproven as a record label owner with his own artist, but this changed when We The Best Music Group launched.
Initially a vanity label from Def Jam, DJ Khaled built the label around Ace Hood. But, the label ended up struggling when Ace Hood’s record sales were subpar. Ace Hood worked himself back to the forefront of the game with his 2011 music and then the label was moved to Cash Money Records.
Last year, Ace Hood released his Cash Money Records debut, but he has remained silent since then. His “Bugatti” single with Future and Rick Ross was one of 2013’s first hit singles. DJ Khaled posted a photo with Ace Hood on Instagram and he revealed his artist was back in the lab.
