In a matter of a decade, T.I. has come a long way. Known on the streets of Bankhead, it was his charisma, which landed him a meeting with L.A. Reid and eventually a deal with LaFace Records. But, after being signed to a major label, T.I. found it difficult to make a name for himself and soon left the label. Back on his grind, one of T.I.’s biggest supporters was DJ Drama, who did several mixtapes with T.I.
Ten years later, ironically, T.I. would find himself in a similar situation. After serving two prison stints and being out of the public eye, T.I. needed help. The first person to extend a hand to the struggling rapper was DJ Drama. Working with a number of new artists, DJ Drama got T.I. on some of the hottest up-and-coming tracks. In addition to this, he also featured T.I.’s new singles on his mixtapes and at clubs.
Now, T.I. is back on his throne and has added several new artists to Grand Hustle. Back on top of the game, DJ Drama called upon T.I. for an interview. T.I. did the interview, but he did not come alone, bringing with him a few of the new Grand Hustle artists.
