A year and a half ago, Kanye West returned to the scene, more confident than ever, following a brutal media backlash. Taking time to gather his thoughts, Kanye West returned stronger than ever. Once letting the words of the media get to him, West came back with choice words for them all.

Among the favored tracks on the album included “Lost in the World.” Placed at the end of his comeback, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, the song became a favorite with fans. It seemed as if the song would be selected for a single, but promotion for Watch the Throne began only months after the album’s release.

One music video, “Runaway,” a short film of the same name, and a partial video for the lead single, “Power,” was released. Now, right before the summer of 2012, the official music video for “Lost in the World” has been released, confusing many. It turns out, the video has been in the works since early 2011, but the editing took one year to complete.

The director of the music video, Ruth Hogben, discussed the music video with MTV News.
