Deon Cole talks start in comedy, writing for Conan O’Brien, “Black-ish,” Angie Tribeca, and more #TheBreakfastClub [VIDEO]

Deon Cole Breakfast ClubOvernight sensations very rarely happen overnight, as there is a lot of work that goes on prior to the success. Right now, Deon Cole is one of the biggest names in comedy. Many know him for his role on “Black-ish” and were disappointed when he left.

But, Deon Cole came up close to twenty years ago, first participating in the Def Comedy Jam. Dealing with his loss early, Deon Cole was kicked off the tour. He rebounded and was working with Conan O’Brien by the year of 2008.

Deon Cole recently stopped by “The Breakfast Club,” where he sat down with DJ Envy, Angela Yee, and Charlamagne Tha God. During the interview, Deon Cole discussed how he got started in comedy and what led to him appearing on “Black-ish.” After telling the hilarious story of being booed while opening for Ja Rule, he spoke on his current career moves.
