TDE, much like many other crews, is a team-centered movement. Most have only recently gotten familiar with the movement due to Kendrick Lamar. But, two years before he began his run, it was Jay Rock who initially put the label on the map and rose to stardom.
Jay Rock is no longer the focal point of the TDE movement in the eyes of the fans, but he remains a pivotal player. Nothing within the crew has changed, with Kendrick Lamar featuring him on his “Money Trees” single. Those who heard the song were indeed impressed with Jay Rock’s verse.
Life + Times sat down with Jay Rock and he talked about his “Money Trees” track, which he is featured on by Kendrick Lamar. Sitting down with them for their DECODED series, the TDE superstar broke down his verse on the song. Jay Rock has major things in the works and is someone to pay attention to.
