Daz Dillinger claims Rockstar Games used his music without permission on “Grand Theft Auto V”

Daz DillingerRockstar Games brought a lot of attention back to the West Coast hip hop scene when they dropped Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. Most consider the game a classic and they have wanted a sequel for years. Grand Theft Auto V is the closest they will get, as a present-day Los Santos (Los Angeles) is the premise.

Many of the biggest rappers in the history of Los Angeles hip hop are featured on the new game on the radio stations. Daz Dillinger is among the artists featured on the new video game. There really isn’t much of a West Coast hip hop tribute without one third of Tha Dogg Pound.

Yet and still, permission is something always required before taking something and using it, no matter how pure of the intention. Daz Dillinger recently played Grand Theft Auto V and heard his music, which he did not give permission for. On Twitter, he called Rockstar Games out for this and he threatened to sue.
