David Banner speaks on V-Nasty diss

Kreayshawn and V-Nasty burst onto the national hip hop scene, in 2011, in a controversial manner. Kreay emerged with her “Gucci Gucci” hit, offending many with her use of the “N-word.” V-Nasty also made a name for herself with her frequent use of the word. From the beginning, Game was offended by their use of the word and he threatened to hurt them if he ever met them in person.

Game was not the only rapper turned off by Kreayshawn and V-Nasty, as Rick Ross would confront Kreayshawn over her freestyle diss against him. Among the names Rick Ross called Kreayshawn were a “white bitch.” While there were several rappers who were offended by Kreayshawn and V-Nasty, there were many more who supported them.

David Banner did not support their use of the “N-word” and spoke about this in his “Swag” single. V-Nasty took offense to the song and dissed Banner on her BAYTL album with Gucci Mane. During an interview with Sway Calloway on Shade 45, David Banner said he was not dissing V-Nasty, only pointing out the effect of the “N-word” from a cultural standpoint.

Expressing no issues with V-Nasty, David Banner said he is more upset with the number of rappers who had no problems with her frequently using the “N-word.” Fat Joe and Mistah Fab are among the rappers who were most vocal with their support of V-Nasty. While David Banner does not believe V-Nasty is trying to be rascist, he feels she is unaware of the hate the “N-word” still ignites generations after the Civil Rights movement.
