Last month, Dave East was in Las Vegas as he was in Drai’s nightclub and brought two women back to his room. Initial reports by TMZ stated that East had a three-way that went bad after one woman was supposedly jealous about not getting enough attention. From that point, liquor bottles were thrown at East that left cuts on his arms and legs.
East appeared on “The Morning Hustle” in Washington, D.C. and clarified the situation. He says people are getting things wrong of what really happened. The Harlem rapper explained that the two women were in the room but others were as well. The two women decided to go in the bathroom and that’s when East stopped them.
The problem at that point was that East had a lot of his jewelry in there and he didn’t want them around them. He added that the two women said nobody’s trying to steal any jewelry and he said he wasn’t accusing them of doing so. This was after he noticed one trying on a bracelet. From that point, he felt that it was best for them to leave and they took offense to that by starting to throw the bottles at him. He did get those same cuts from the bottles.
East was initially facing a battery charge after the jealous woman claimed that he threw 5-6 punches at her. There were no arrests at the time but both parties were cited for misdemeanor battery.
