Fan tackles Dave Chappelle on stage during show in Los Angeles
Dave Chappelle is regarded by many, as one of the most legendary comedians of all-time. On Tuesday night, he had a stand-up show in Los Angeles, at the Hollywood Bowl. This show was part of the Netflix Is A Joke Festival.
Fans loved what Dave Chappelle brought to LA, but Tuesday night brought a shocking moment to this event. While Chappelle was on stage, a fan ran on, and tackled Chappelle. Immediately after this went down, security apprehended the man who committed this act. This all went down around 10:45PM, local time.
Chappelle was not injured in this incident, as he continued on with his show, at the Hollywood Bowl. Regarding the man who attacked him, he was injured, and taken into an ambulance, according to ABC 7. LAPD also added that this man was taken into custody, as he was armed with a knife and gun. Chris Rock also reportedly ended up joining Chappelle on stage, and asked “Was that Will Smith?”
This is the second notable viral incident involving a comedian, in the past two months. Back in late March, Chris Rock was slapped by Will Smith on stage, at the Oscars, for making a “GI Jane” joke about Jada Pinkett’s bald head.
