As the son of Bob Marley, Damian Marley was a big figure in music long before he became an artist. But, hip hop fans became drawn to the younger Marley, when he and Nas joined forces. Following the controversy with Untitled, Nas jumped genres.
Going outside the box, Nas joined Damian Marley for Distant Relatives, their joint album. Seven years later, the album is regarded as a great collaboration between genre lines. This is proven, seeing how he is still asked about their work, to this day.
Damian Marley stopped by Hot 97 and talked to Ebro, Laura Stylez, and Rosenberg. They did spend time talking about his work with Nas on that 2009 album. But, he would spend more time discussing his father and the current dancehall scene.
