DaBaby turned into a star in 2019 with his breakout hit single, “Suge” which appeared on his debut studio album, ‘Baby On Baby.’ He also released his sophomore album, ‘Kirk,’ that fall. Both projects have since been certified platinum by the RIAA.

The Charlotte rapper also released his third album, ‘Blame It On Baby’ in April of this year as it debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart and featured another hit record in “Rockstar” feat. Roddy Ricch. This is the No. 1 country and has now been certified 2x platinum. This is after selling 2 million units, according to Chart Data.

It’ll be interesting to see when Baby & Roddy shoot the actual music video for this record. The delay is  likely due to social distancing concerns. The audio video on YouTube has since accumulated over 90 million views. This weekend, Baby also participated in the “Black Lives Been Mattered” event in Charlotte addressing racism and police brutality. He also released a Black Lives Matter remix for Rockstar with Roddy.
