DaBaby’s ‘Kirk’ Album Goes Platinum On Same Day That His Father Died a Year Ago

DaBaby was one of the biggest breakout artists of 2019 as he broke onto the scene with his hit single “Suge.” This went on to appear on his debut album ‘Baby On Baby.’ He later released his sophomore album ‘Kirk’ in September which was in honor of his late father. This project contained hits such as the album’s intro and “Vibez.”

The Charlotte rapper has been dealing with legal issues such as physical alterations with fans and club promoters which have been making all the headlines for him to start off 2020 but hopefully, this changes soon and he stays focused on the bigger picture which is the successful career that he’s had so far. Baby is getting some amazing news though as he announced that his Kirk album has officially gone platinum.

Kirk has been certified platinum the same day that Baby’s father was killed a year ago today. Baby posted this accomplishment on his Instagram story and said “Our album went platinum on the same day I lost you a year ago. God got the strangest ways of talking to me. Kirk.”

God and life in general definitely have different ways of showing unusual timing in unexpected forms. Some of them are amazing to see. The fact that Baby’s album that was named after his father went platinum on the same day that he died in 2019 is stunning. He should definitely proud of what Bbay has been able to accomplish to this day.
