Back in January, DaBaby dealt with an incident in Miami involving a club promoter named Kenneth Carey, who was beat down by his entourage and robbed of his iPhone and credit card, and even got apple juice poured on him. The Charlotte rapper was initially facing battery and robbery charges and the promoter has since filed a lawsuit against him for $6 million.
There’s some good news for Baby right now though as according to TMZ, the The Miami State Attorney’s Office says the battery charge has been dropped. This is due to one of the victims refusing to cooperate. The other victim in the video is not seen with Carey.
Despite the battery charge being dropped, the robbery charge is still being investigated by police. Baby also went through a case at the time where he was investigated for assaulting a Dallas airport employee but that case was dropped.
DaBaby broke out as a star in 2019 with his “Suge” single which appeared on his debut studio album, ‘Baby on Baby.’ He went on to release his second album, ‘Kirk,’ in September which featured hits such as its intro and “Vibez.”
