DaBaby has been losing big checks over the past week, after homophobic comments and ignorant statements made about people with HIV/AIDS, on stage, at the Rolling Loud festival in Miami, a week ago. Major festivals have since been dropping him such as Day N Vegas and Governor’s Ball.
Now, even more notable festivals have decided to drop the Charlotte rapper from their lineups. Among them are Music Midtown in Atlanta, this fall, iHeartRadio Fest in Las Vegas, and the Austin City Limits Festival. Baby has since not publicly spoken out on these shows being dropped on him, and it’s definitely smart not to right now. Seven festivals have dropped him so far, over the past week.
At this point, it’ll be interesting to see how many concert bookings that DaBaby loses in general. He’s already lost all of his opportunities at so many major festivals, and this all could continue for the unforeseeable future.
This all comes over a year after DaBaby had his second straight number one album, with “Blame It On Baby,” and a chart-topping hit single, in “Rockstar” feat. Roddy Ricch. He was even nominated for four GRAMMYs this year.
