In the early 2000s, specifically from 2002 through 2005, the Ying Yang Twins had an impressive run of hits. Once they linked up with Lil Jon, the Ying Yang Twins reached hew heights with their music. But, since 2006, the duo has not received much exposure.
Last year, the Ying Yang Twins returned to the forefront due to two separate instances. First, it was French Montana’s frequent use of the phrase “haaan,” which they famously coined. Second, it was Miley Cyrus “inventing” the twerking phenomenon, despite them talking about TWURKING as early as 2000.
Their news this year is not as historical, in a positive light, as last year’s news topics were. Instead, D-Roc, the Ying Yang Twin pictured above, was arrested for punching his wife in the head and the incident took place back in November. D-Roc, real name Deongelo Holmes, was said to have punched his wife, Porsche Holmes, so hard, she got a bump over her left eye.
