“Cruel Summer” pushed back until September

Last summer, Big Sean revealed G.O.O.D. Music would follow in the footsteps of popular labels, Maybach Music and Young Money, releasing a compilation album. During this time, Kanye West was promoting Watch the Throne with Jay-Z. Still, the label was firing on all cylinders.

G.O.O.D. Music has drastically increased their visibility over the past year. The addition of Pusha T has paid off in numerous ways. Pusha T was previously best-known for being one half of The Clipse with his brother Malice (now known as No Malice). However, he was urged by his brother to go solo, which led him to G.O.O.D. Music.

Though Big Sean has been the frontman, Pusha T has made the most noise. Not only is he at the biggest point in his solo career, Pusha T has also caught the attention of other big names. After over a year of subliminal shots aimed at Drake, Lil Wayne dissed Pusha T and then decided to end the feud. Now, Jae Millz has picked up where he left off, taking shots at Pusha T. All of this has served as good promotion for Cruel Summer, which was announced earlier this year.

Initially, the album was due for an August 7 release, but has been pushed back until September 7.
