Colin Kaepernick Set To Write Memoir About His National Anthem Protest

Even though former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick admirably sacrificed his career over what he believed in, he brought him newfound fame and notoriety. It all centered around his protest of the national anthem to bring attention to the injustice of police brutality and racial inequality. What was on the field is now going to find it’s way to a bookstore near you.

The athlete turned activist recently announced that he will writing a memoir about his national anthem protest. This memoir is the first project coming out of his new Kaepernick Publishing. He wanted to detail the process and reasoning behind his decision to protest.

“My protest was the culmination of years of thought and experiences, of learning and unlearning,” Kap says.

“I want to tell the story of my evolution, and the events that led me to protest systemic oppression, in hopes that it will inspire others to rise in action.”

The 32-year-old is teaming up with  release an audio version of the memoir as well. While Kaepernick is venturing into new territories, he’s still adamant about playing in the NFL again.
