Coi Leray Responds to Critics Who Think She’s a “TikTok Artist” – “I Got a Family To Feed”

In this era of music, a lot of songs blow up on various social media platforms. One of them has been TikTok, which propels artists into even higher levels of fame, due to having younger fans, as well. Coi Leray is an artist that saw massive success on that platform as well, prior to her taking off as an artist.

Coi has been being labeled as a “TikTok artist” a lot lately, and now she is speaking out. She recently took to Twitter to brush off people calling her that, and emphasized that when artists put out songs, they all go to TikTok.

Coi also noted that she has a family to feed. TikTok will definitely bring a lot of revenue in, so Coi will definitely still take advantage of using that platform, whether people like it or not.

“Call me a tik tok artist, but just so you know. When an artist drops music, it gets uploaded to TikTok as well. Whether they chose to promote and have fun with the record, that’s on them… but I got a family to feed, ima get mines regardless.”

Coi has had multiple hits in 2021, which include “No More Parties” remix ft. Lil Durk, “Big Purrd” ft. Pooh Shiesty, and “Twinnem.” Twinnem appears to be the biggest “TikTok song” for Coi so far, based on the amount of people dancing to this record, and posting that song, to that platform. The remix, featuring DaBaby, is also expected to drop soon.
