Hip hop and R&B’s resident bad boy, as he raps and sings, Chris Brown has enjoyed his second consecutive successful year. In 2012, Chris Brown also had the opportunity to reunite with Rihanna, his former girlfriend. With the focus back on his music, Chris Brown extended his long string of hits, but there were a few bumps along the way.

Chris Brown has enjoyed several hits, including his hip hop record, “‘Til I Die,” which features Big Sean and Wiz Khalifa. However, the biggest single from Chris Brown has been “Turn up the Music,” which was a favorite at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards. “Turn up the Music” landed Chris Brown two nominations at the VMAs.

“Turn up the Music” has been a critical success and Chris Brown has performed the song at a few of his media appearances. The official remix of the song features Rihanna, one of their two collaborations of 2012, both remixes to their previous hit singles. Chris Brown would sweep the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards, winning ‘Best Choregraphy’ and ‘Best Male Video’ for “Turn up the Music.”
