Debuting in 1999, Eve became the biggest female rapper of the early 2000s. A lot was said about Nicki Minaj surpassing Lil’ Kim, breaking her records, but Eve likely would have surpassed Kim, had she not gone on hiatus in 2003. That break was due to her self-titled sitcom.
Once the show was over, Eve found herself unable to rebuild her popularity. In spite of “Tambourine” becoming a hit single, Eve never released an album. Years later, Eve resurfaced on “The Talk,” CBS’ talk show, where she is one of the hosts.
During this week’s episode, Eve spoke on Chris Brown’s Paris incident, and she gave some hard, tough, love. Speaking on Chris, Eve ranted, saying he needs to get his act together. Social media was offended by her comments, and are demanding an apology, seeing how he was found not guilty, and is free.
