Chicago femcee, CupcakKe tweeted out an alarming suicidal tweet that had fans and the music industry worried for her safety. On Monday evening (January 7th), CupcakKe took to social media to express her vulnerability claiming she was going to attempt suicide. In recent years, hip-hop has lost a lot of young and extremely talented artists from suicide and since the industry has taken suicidal thoughts and expressions very serious.

Following her troubling tweet, the Chi-Town rapper reposted her tweet to her Instagram captioning the photo, “thank you for everything y’all have done for me I really appreciate it.” These verbal signs, prompted a worldwide concern for fans and more on social media to be concerned of her whereabouts and well being. With an outpouring of support, Chicago Police Department arrived to the 21-year old rapper’s home to carry out a wellness check and was later transported to the hospital.
Today (January 8th), close friend, Elijah Daniel, confirmed that the ‘Eden’ artist is located safely at the hospital for a mental evaluation, confirmed by the CPD.
