Five years ago, Chamillionaire rose to the top of the game when he released “Ridin.'” At the time, it appeared as if Chamillionaire would take over the game.br /br /When it was time for Chamillionaire to begin working on his second album, he ran into a dispute with Universal Records. The label wanted him to release his album in 2006. Cham objected and chose to wait until 2007 to release his album and it was a complete flop.br /br /By 2008, Universal Records began focusing most of its energy on the rising Lil Wayne. With Wayne topping the charts and Chamillionaire being a memory, the label shifted their focus. Universal Records ended up giving Cham the runaround on his next album.br /br /Finally tired of the push backs, Chamillionaire finally left Universal Records at the end of 2010. The Houston rapper revealed his album was pushed back so much because he was trying to leave the label. Cham said they fell out with him when he refused to make pop records. The main reason he ended up leaving the label was because they did not give him the freedom he wanted when he went mainstream.div class=”blogger-post-footer”div class=”separator” style=”clear: both; text-align: center;”
