Casanova pleads guilty to racketeering and drugs charges

Casanova has been one of the hottest artists out of Brooklyn, over the past five years. His success took a hard stop in December 2020 though, when he was arrested on racketeering and drugs charges. At the time, Casanova was charged with one count of conspiracy to commit racketeering, one count of conspiracy to distribute controlled substances, and one count of possession of a firearm for drug-trafficking.

Also, legal documents by TMZ at the time, stated that Casanova and 17 others were listed as part of the Untouchable Gorilla Stone Nation gang that’s “committed murder, shootings, robberies, and assaults against their rivals and former members of Gorilla Stone.” Prosecutors also claimed that the rapper and the gang “engaged in brazen fraud by exploiting benefits programs meant to provide assistance in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.”

However, on Wednesday, DJ Akademiks reported that Casanova plead guilty, to the racketeering and drugs charges. The attempted murder charges got dropped. Casanova now faces between 5-60 years, in prison. A date for the sentencing hasn’t been announced yet. Casanova has also been very vocal about people who haven’t been by his side, since this case began.
