Casanova has been in prison since December. This is after he was investigated by the feds for a gang-related racketeering conspiracy case, according to TMZ. Right before turning himself in, the Brooklyn rapper maintained his innocence.

Casnova is facing life in prison if convicted as well. On Friday afternoon, a tweet was posted by him calling people out for not truly supporting him during this time. He says that they say “free him” but don’t even visit the prison he’s at, which is an hour away for a lot of them.

“They saying free me on the internet, I’m a hour away ain’t get a visit yet…hope that don’t go over your head…“

Court documents initially revealed that Casanova and 17 others, who are part of the Untouchable Gorilla Stone Nation gang, “committed murder, shootings, robberies, and assaults against their rivals and against fellow members of Gorilla Stone.” They are also said to have sold crack and “engaged in brazen fraud by exploiting benefits programs meant to provide assistance in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.”

What Casanova said is often the feeling for many incarcerated rappers. The support is real during the good times but in the bad ones, not so much a lot of the times. Check out his tweet below.
