Cardi B’s ‘Invasion of Privacy’ is Still Most Streamed Female Rap Album in Spotify History As It Reaches Over 3 Billion Streams

Cardi B is still regarded as one of the best artists in the world as fans anxiously await her second album. This is after she had a solid 2019 with the release of her “Press” and “Please Me” featuring Bruno Mars singles.

Cardi had an epic breakout year in 2017 with her hit single “Bodak Yellow” and that momentum carried over into 2018 with the release of her debut studio album, ‘Invasion of Privacy,’ in April of 2018. This featured other hit singles such as “I Like It” feat. J Balvin and Bad Bunny, and “Ring” feat. Kehlani. This project has reached numerous milestones for Cardi’s career as the recent one was it being the first debut album by a female rapper to spend two consecutive years on the Billboard 200 chart. This is after she broke Lauryn Hill’s record as well at 92 weeks as well.

Now, we can add another impressive record to Invasion of Privacy as it has now eclipsed over 3 billion Spotify streams, according to Chart Data. This still makes it the most streamed female rap album in the streaming service’s history. She broke the record at 2.8 billion in December of 2019. As of now, Invasion of Privacy has been certified 3x platinum by the RIAA. Cardi has maintained stardom since 2017 and many expect that trend to continue in 2020 as well.
