Cardi B has had a very solid second half of 2020 as of early August. She returned with her first single since early 2019 with her new “WAP” single featuring Megan Thee Stallion. This was an immediate hit as the music video also went viral. That included cameo appearances from Kylie Jenner, Mulatto, Normani, and more.
WAP went on to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and currently stands at 11 Now, its momentum continues to move forward as it has now been certified 4x platinum by the RIAA, according to Chart Data. This is after selling 4 million units.
Cardi’s sophomore album is expected to finally be released sometime in 2021. At the end of last year, she teased the idea of naming it ‘Tiger Woods’ due to her inspiration of his comeback. No title is official as of now, though. The New York rapper also took home a huge award this week and that was Billboard’s Woman of the Year.
