Four years ago, Cardi B shocked the world, and became the biggest artist in the game. Few artists have ever had a debut run as strong as Cardi’s. Years later, she is still coming with hits, most-recently featuring on “Wild Side,” from Normani, which is causing some backlash.
Normani, over these same four years, has been touted as the next major star, in music. In 2019, she came with a classic collaboration, “Dancing With A Stranger,” with Sam Smith. That record definitely showed she had the potential to build something.
While fans love “Wild Side,” some have said Normani should have made this a solo single. Cardi B took offense to this, which is understandable. Because there are fans who feel this way, Cardi angrily said that she will no longer promote the “Wild Side” single, and said she hopes Normani will take her off the song.
