Sometimes, the next big thing will stare folks right in the face and they won’t get it. It wasn’t that long ago, when Cardi B made herself a household name. Back then, just two years ago, she was going at popular DJ, DJ Self, for not playing her record.

However, Cardi B is one of the few who used the “Love & Hip Hop” platform the right way. This summer has seen Cardi actually exceed the records K. Michelle set for “Love & Hip Hop” artists. Now, she has the number two song in the nation.

Cardi B hit number two on Billboard, just behind Taylor Swift with the addictive “Look What You Made Me Do” record. In reaching number two, she ties Nicki Minaj’s 2014 single, “Anaconda,” which peaked at number two, just before the end of 2014. Now, Cardi B ties her for the highest-charting female rap song of the decade.
