Cardi B talks origins of her name, how Offset proposed to her, and feeling like a winner whether #BodakYellow wins a Grammy or not on #TheTonightShow starring Jimmy Fallon [VIDEO]

Ever thinking of giving up, just think about Cardi B. Every odd was stacked against her and she became the first solo female rapper, since 1998, to top Billboard Hot 100. Most female rappers already conceded that to Nicki Minaj eventually topping that record.

Cardi B, first of all, was a relative no-name, only popular in the strip clubs, and social media. That popularity led to “Love & Hip Hop” casting her. After her first season, Cardi B said her next season, on the show, would be her last, and the rest is history.

After performing on “The Tonight Show,” several times, Cardi B finally sat down with Jimmy Fallon. Her first interview on “The Tonight Show,” she had Fallon laughing. Cardi B spoke on her name, Offset proposing to her, and the “Bodak Yellow” success.
