Cardi B has been red hot lately in regards to her music. Last month, her first single of 2021, “Up,” hit No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Earlier this morning, her 2017 breakout hit single, “Bodak Yellow,” was certified diamond by the RIAA in the US. Her “WAP” single feat. Megan Thee Stallion from last summer also reached 5x platinum.
E! also has a special about Cardi coming on March 15 titled “True Hollywood Story.” Now, it appears that Cardi didn’t have any involvement in this project. She recently took to Twitter to explain how she did not approve of this.
“I love E! And I always been grateful for all the love but I did not approve of the E Hollywood story .My life is my story. How can someone tell my story without asking me?”
Cardi did say though that she hopes that this special will actually be good. She also revealed that she hasn’t seen it yet either. Cardi emphasized that she’d love to tell her own story but when she’s ready on her own terms.
“But hey maybe the story will be good IDK I mean I haven’t seen it .However I would love to tell my story myself when I’m ready. I been thru & been influenced by a lot of bad shit since a teenager That when I’m ready I will like to talk about.”
It’ll definitely be interesting to see the fan reaction to this special by E!. It all goes down on March 15. , Prince Harry & Meghan, Jay Z, Laverne Cox, Manny Mua and more will also be featured.
