Today, Normani returned with her first single of 2021 in “Wild Side” feat. Cardi B. This is also her first solo single since 2019’s smash-hit single, “Motivation.” Normani and Cardi also released the video for Wild Side, as it is already on its way to becoming one of the biggest songs in the US, and big first week debut.
Cardi and Normani have been uplifting each other a lot on social media, ever since the announcement was made for this collab. They went on Instagram live, minutes before the single’s release, and kept the kind words flowing after.
Now, Cardi is explaining to fans how the process of creating her verse came about. She replied to a fan, where they originally said how they love that Cardi is “nasty” in songs. Cardi replied, explaining how she did a verse, but Normani’s team wanted it more nastier.
“Sooo like I did a verse and Normani team said they wanted nastier sooo I was like alright …. your wish is my command.”
Fans definitely loved the sexual content that she brought through as usual, and this is now one of the hottest guest appearances of the year. Many believe that Normani’s long-awaited debut studio album is on the way as well.
