Cardi B has come a long way in seven years. In 2015, Cardi B was dancing throughout NYC clubs. Late in 2015, Cardi B was cast for “Love & Hip Hop.” Cardi B successfully used the platform to launch her music career. By 2016, Cardi B announced she was leaving the show.
Cardi B signed with Atlantic Records in 2017. While Cardi B’s first single, “Lick,” was not a hit, it featured Offset. By the time the Super Bowl took place, Cardi B and Offset took their relationship public. Through the years, Cardi B and Offset have overcome everything to be together.
Cardi B was pit against Nicki Minaj as soon as her career took off. Initially, Cardi B and Nicki Minaj gave each other major props. Offset’s Migos even tried to help things along, featuring Cardi B and Nicki Minaj on their single, “Motorsport.” Ironically, “Motorsport” is what caused the beef between Cardi B and Nicki Minaj. While Cardi B and Nicki Minaj were cordial at Met Gala, Cardi tried to fight Nicki at Fashion Week.
Cardi B and Nicki Minaj have not insulted each other in four years. When Cardi B or Nicki Minaj’s names have come up, the other has been respectful about it. Recently, Cardi B and Offset were in the club. While there, DJ Will began playing Nicki Minaj’s “Do We Have A Problem?,” and Cardi B was initially vibing to it. However, Cardi B would take the mic and go off. According to Ken Barbie, Cardi B had DJ Will jumped.
