Cardi B Now Has The Record For Most Monthly Listeners For a Female Rapper in Spotify History

Cardi B has been experiencing plenty of more success over the past month and a half with the release of her latest hit single, “WAP,” featuring Megan Thee Stallion. It has been a hit all over social media, worldwide, and has even been controversial regarding the song’s topics. She is also making more headlines this week as she filed for divorce from Offset right before their three-year anniversary.

WAP has since been certified 2x platinum by the RIAA and earlier this week, reclaimed the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart after BTS was able to get to the top for two weeks with their “Dynamite” single. Now, Cardi has reached another impressive accomplishment regarding her streaming numbers.

According to Chart Data, she now has the most monthly listeners at Spotify for a female rapper with 50.9 million. This isn’t the only Spotify record that Cardi has reached as she also has the most streamed female rap album (Invasion Of Privacy) in its history with over 2.8 billion streams as of December 2019 and she is the first female rapper with multiple songs reaching 1 billion streams on the streaming service. These records are “I Like It” featuring J Balvin and Bad Bunny and her feature on Maroon 5’s “Girls Like You.”
