On an every day basis, Cardi B makes some kind of history or another, so it seems. Now, it almost seems crazy that there were a lot of people expecting Cardi B to fall off in 2018. As soon as the year began, she had the “Finesse” record with Bruno Mars take off.

At the same time, she also had “Motorsport” and “No Limit,” but people wrote them off as just features. When “Be Careful,” her solo single, hit, it was clear Cardi B had staying power. It was her second-highest charting single, at the time.

Cardi B did the impossible, when “I Like It” dropped, and it would become her second Billboard Hot 100 number one. She also had the feature on Maroon 5’s “Girls Like You,” which has hit number one. This song puts her in elite company, joining Rihanna, Katy Perry, and Taylor Swift as the only female artists, this decade to have three number one records.
