Earlier in the week, the “Money” femcee Cardi B took to Instagram to share her thoughts on the government shutdown. After 27 days, the longest government shutdown in history, Cardi B is not holding back! On the Instagram clip she blasts Donald Trump for refusing to fund the government so that the wall can be built.
In the profanity-laced video she goes on to say:
“This shit is crazy… like, our country is a hellhole right now, all for a fucking wall. And we really need to take this serious.”
“Now, I don’t want to hear y’all motherfuckers talking about oh, but Obama shutdown the government for 17 days. Yeah, bitch, for health care, so your grandma could check her blood pressure and you bitches could go check your pussy in the gynecologist with no motherfucking problem.”
She also points out how government workers are forced to work without pay during the shut down. The clip quickly went viral, already garnering over 14 million views. Even during the women’s march in DC, women from all over rallied and made flyers and posters with Cardi’s supporting words.

After going viral and trending on Twitter, Twitter fans react. Some for the good and some for the bad. At first the Bronx rapper wasn’t sure as to what happened so she hopped back on Twitter to ask why she was trending.

Trump insists that he gets $5.7 billion for some 200 miles of barrier along the US-Mexico border in order to sign a bill to fund the government. It’s still not clear what plan, if any, that he has to negotiate his way out of this.This isn’t the first time Cardi B has made her thoughts known in the political realm, and doesn’t seem to be the last. Although most Democrats and women are here for Cardi, it seems as though Fox News’ Tomi Lahren isn’t! Late last night (January 19th), Tomi shared her thoughts as well by tagging Cardi and the clapback is so real! So real that Twitter has their phones charged, popcorn ready, and are here for the madness that may transpire between the two. Looks like Cardi thinks Tomi is acting like a wild animal and is ready to tame her and put her on a leash…
