In Florida, the disturbing news continues to be disturbing. The reports about Florida Man never disappoint, years after the joke has come and gone. But, this latest report is no laughing matter, it is something that most will simply find bizarre.
Daytona Beach is a city best-known for racing and spring breaks. But, this is a city with a full-functioning population, which includes children. So, this means the city is home to a public library, which, in turn, was home to the latest headline-making crime.
Burman P. Bedford, age 55, went to the library and picked up a pair of scissors. He introduced himself to the 63-year-old woman running the library, while she was helping a child. As she went to greet him, Bedford stabbed the woman in the eye with the pair of scissors, shocking locals, and leaving the library shut down, for days.
