Eminem recently donated his rare pair of his black Air Jordan Retro 4 “Carhartt x Eminem” sneakers to auction website, StockX, to help pitch in for coronavirus relief. In 2015, Eminem and Jordan made only 10 of these available and some went up for resale for as much as $28,000. The proceeds from this single pair will go to the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund.

Now, it looks like the Detroit legend dealt with a scare last month as well. According to TMZ, a man tried to break into his home in a gated-community in Detroit. It occurred around 4am as 26-year-old Matthew David Hughes, used a stone to smash a window in his kitchen in order to get inside. From that point, the alarm went off as Eminem woke up.

Hughes was quickly found in the living room as Eminem’s security guards were able to get to him as they waited for police to arrive. Security was initially at the front of the home while Hughes entered from the back. He ended up being charged with felony first-degree home invasion and malicious destruction of a building. Weirdly enough though, Hughes didn’t want to steal anything but instead, he wanted a “face-to-face” with the rapper. He has since been booked at the Macomb County Jail and is being held on $50,000 bond.
