BTS Takes No. 1 Spot on Billboard Hot 100 Chart Away From Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s “WAP” Single With “Dynamite”

Cardi B’s “WAP” single with Megan Thee Stallion has been the No. 1 song in the country for the past two weeks. It’s been headlined by its highly sexual content along with Cardi and Megan’s performances in the music video along with its cameos. It had a shot at No. 1 for a third consecutive week but now, it goes to K-pop group, BTS.

BTS released their “Dynamite” single over a week ago and has seen instant success. The No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart now goes to this record as well, according to Chart Data. The group also becomes the first all-South Korean group in Hot 100 history to earn a No. 1 song. They’re also the first international band in history to debut at No. 1.

In addition to Dynamite going No. 1, it has also been certified gold by the RIAA today as well. The group went on to perform this record last night at the VMAs in New York City. They took home four awards in total. Check out their performance below.
