Heading into season three, “Empire” is on fire and people have waited all summer to find out what happened. During the season two finale, there was a fight between Anika and Rhonda (Grace Gealey, Kaitlin Doubleday). Both ladies went toppling over the balcony.
A made-for-“Jerry Springer” moment, the season finale also saw Lucious (Terrence Howard) marry Anika. Needing a way for Anika to not testify against him, Lucious married her while she is pregnant with his grandchild. There is a reason why Lee Daniels bills it a soap opera.
