Crazy enough to say it, but twenty years ago, Bow Wow was among the hottest artists in the game. As a child, he really had grown men, in the game, looking up to him. But, as he became a veteran, Bow Wow saw his time come and go, just like the others.
Bow Wow last charted a hit, in 2007, and has admitted being disillusioned with the game, for some time. In the 2010s, he signed with Cash Money Records, later asking to be released from his deal. Since then, he’s reinvented as a reality TV star.
During the peak of his career, Bow Wow was known as “Mr. 106 & Park.” Here, in the early days of 2021, Bow Wow should be called “Mr. Twitter,” or something along those lines, as he’s trended at least every other day, on average. But, fans on Twitter are shocked that people in Houston packed out his concert, last night, wearing no masks, clearly keeping no distance, essentially risking their lives for Bow Wow, the guy often clowned for being “irrelevant.”
