Notably, Boosie missed a lot of time, due to being in prison. Late, in 2009, Boosie was brought up on murder charges and served close to nine years in prison. During the early part of 2014, Boosie was released from prison.

Quickly getting a song onto radio, Boosie returned with his album, but it didn’t come until 2015. Since then, Boosie has continued releasing various projects. Currently, BooPac is in the works, and he released a new single from that project, just this morning.

Also, Boosie paid Complex a visit, sitting down with DJ Akademiks and Joe Budden. When he came up there, Boosie had a surprising viewpoint, stating that prison doesn’t hurt rappers, it actually helps their revenue. He touched on that, when he spoke on Meek Mill’s sentence, before discussing Jay-Z and money phones.
