When the Los Angeles Clippers got the 2009 number one pick, fans knew they’d draft Blake Griffin. The Clippers were known for being a historically bad team. Prior to Blake, they only made the playoffs three times, since being in LA.
The Clippers did field some competitive teams, though, but in the West, it was hard to make it. In 2011, they traded for Chris Paul. He and Blake Griffin formed a duo that led to them winning two straight division championships.
