Every year, Cash Money Records does something impressive, breaking a new record every time with each accomplishment. Over the past four years, Cash Money Records has balooned from a regular boutique record label to being a major label. Not only does Cash Money boast a large roster of artists, but the label also distributes Young Money and We the Best Music Group.
The man behind the success of Cash Money Records is Birdman and his older brother, Slim. While many only saw “Bling Bling” and the earlier music, the brothers envisioned something much bigger, like what they currently have. Recently, Birdman reflected on the twenty-two years of Cash Money, including the ups-and-downs.
During Birdman’s interview with Fuse, he discussed the longevity of Cash Money Records, what he has planned for the label in the future, and his upcoming mixtape with Mack Maine, the president of the Cash Money sub-label, Young Money.
