Birdman Finally Explains Why He Kissed Lil Wayne, On The Lips, Years Ago, Says He’s Always Viewed Wayne as a Son, and Was Fearful of Not Seeing Him Again, Due to Being in The Streets [VIDEO]

Lil Wayne and Birdman are two of the most iconic hip-hop legends, as they grew up together, and got Cash Money Records, to the top. They featured for most of the late 2010s though, due to Wayne’s Cash Money situation, of not letting Wayne put out albums. That was eventually resolved in 2018, though.

Footage has also been going viral for years now, of Birdman kissing Wayne. Many questioned why Birdman did this, and is now finally, addressing this situation.

In a new interview with the Big Facts Podcast, Birdman explained how he and Wayne had a father-son relationship, and he always cherished Wayne. The Cash Money CEO emphasized that he was worried about a moment possibility being a last one with Wayne, due to Birdman being in the streets.

“I always looked at Wayne as my son and I always looked at it like, ’cause I was in the streets, and I thought this might be the last time he ever see me. ‘Cause I was living like that. That’s what that s*it really started from ’cause I thought that every night I leave, I might not ever come back. And I always today look at Wayne as my child. I was his father when he didn’t have a father since he was nine years old. And I love him like my own and I’d give my life for him and I’d take a life for him.”

Birdman and Wayne’s relationship definitely seems to be in a better place now, even with Wayne not being signed to Cash Money anymore. There’s no more hard feelings, as evident, with Birdman speaking these kind words about Wayne here.
