While Big Sean is currently one of the biggest rappers in the game, his run was initially scheduled to happen two years ago. Among the rising names of 2009 were Drake, J. Cole, Kid Cudi, Nicki Minaj, and Big Sean. It would take more time for Big Sean to land a secure release date and take the game over. But, from the beginning, he proved to be a consistent hitmaker.

Making his rounds with the media, Big Sean openly discussed his rapping style. Nicknamed the “okie doke” flow, Big Sean took credit for originating the flow. Drake made it popular, as many of his 2010 hits featured the rhyming style. Denying any hard feelings, Big Sean said Drake took his flow and Ludacris was also guilty of borrowing his flow, something Drake also said.

Ludacris made his return to the game with his 1.21 Gigawatts mixtape and he had the single, “Bada Boom.” It was on this single where Ludacris took aim at both Big Sean and Drake. From the beginning, both rappers played the disses off. The situation has been among the biggest stories of the later months of 2011. Big Sean discussed this with DJ Whoo Kid for RadioPlanet.tv.

During the interview, Big Sean said he felt blessed to have one of the biggest come-ups in 2011. In 2012, Big Sean promised he would kick in the door with his music. With his “Ass” single preparing to go platinum, Big Sean is working on his songs for the G.O.O.D. Music album, along with his second album. Big Sean is also buzzing from his “Keep it Gee” single, featured on his upcoming mixtape with 2 Chainz. Aside from his mixtape with 2 Chainz, Big Sean is still working on his project with Wiz Khalifa and Curren$y.

When he was asked about Ludacris, Big Sean called him “his man.” Big Sean said he took the situation as free promotion and he was surprised he would be dissed by Ludacris over something he said from over a year ago. Being from Detroit, Big Sean said he knows what real beef is about and this situation was not beef. Big Sean took the high road and said he wishes Ludacris a great 2012. Asked about how Drake felt, Big Sean said they have talked, but only about money. Both rappers are shocked that the people they looked up to are the ones dissing them.

During the interview with DJ Whoo Kid, Big Sean also mentioned Common dissing Drake. At one point, they were all friends, but Big Sean understands how the game goes. Big Sean said he is going to continue to make his hit records, promising his next album is already ten times better than his debut album. Aside from his next album, Big Sean also has his songs on the G.O.OD. Music album coming. However, Big Sean is not focusing on the negativity.

The conversation shifted to Nicki Minaj, who was featured on the remix of his “Ass” single. When asked if he would kiss Nicki Minaj’s ass if it was under the mistletoe, Big Sean said he would kiss it if it were not. Big Sean told them she looks very good, but denied the rumors of the two being romantically involved.
