Too often, many rappers are getting shot and/or killed, before they reach their full potential. Instead of all the talk about it, something has to be done. It’s sad that people had to celebrate Yella Beezy surviving, even though it was good news that he did.
Rappers shouldn’t have to fight for their lives, but fans were relieved to know Da Baby stopped a man from taking his life. Those two stories of rappers surviving attacks are rare. Unfortunately, the same grace was not afforded to Benji Quis.
As Texas is exploding onto the hip hop map, Benji Quis was beginning to carve his place in the game. The Killeen native had a lot of momentum behind him. Now, he is another one gone too soon, after being shot and killed yesterday, as he was unconscious and not breathing when found by police, announced dead at 9:36 pm.
