Six years ago, few saw what Rick Ross did. Most immediately compared the Miami rapper to The Notorious B.I.G., given his large stature and deep voice. However, soon, it was clear Rick Ross was a future legend in his own right. Rick Ross began a long string of hits during the summer of 2006 and never looked back.

Fast forward to 2012 and Rick Ross is the leader of the most popular crew in hip hop with Maybach Music, home to Meek Mill and Wale and rising stars such as Gunplay and relative newcomer, Stalley. Rick Ross finds himself hip hop’s most imposing figure and working with Dr. Dre, along with having him and the late Whitney Houston in Miami for his birthday bash earlier this year.

Rick Ross’ music is in demand, as his God Forgives, I Don’t album debuted on top of the Billboard album charts. Rolling Stone reached out to Rick Ross, making him their cover boy. The “Gangster of Love” feature is expected to fly off the shelves and Rolling Stone decided to give fans an inside look of the photo shoot.
