For months, Azealia Banks has been working on her EP, 1991. The project has been met with several delays, but the Harlem femcee has continued to make headlines. Late last month, Banks revealed her EP would be released before the end of April. Azealia Banks recently revealed, via Twitter, this week that her EP would be pushed back again.
Despite sounding disappointed, Azealia Banks said the latest delay on her mixtape only served to make the overall project better. Banks revealed the main reason the project was pushed back was because there was new management behind her. Citing it as woes new artists go through, Azealia Banks has continued making moves.
Earlier today, Azealia Banks’ new manager was revealed to be none other than Troy Carter. When she broke the news of her EP delay, Azealia Banks said it was only to enhance her project. This has proven to be no exaggeration, as Azealia Banks is working with Troy Carter, who is also the manager of Lady Gaga, who has enjoyed a nice three-year run.
